Microsoft Releases Live SDK 5.2 in Final Version

The final flavor of Microsoft’s Live SDK 5.2 is now available for download for all those developers interested in coming up with applications that integrate single sign-on (SSO) with Microsoft accounts.

The SDK was released with a series of Live Connect APIs inside, so that applications could be designed to access Live web services.

These apps would benefit from access to users’ identity profile info, while being able to deliver personalized experiences, deliver single sign-on scenarios, or offer upload and download of photos and documents in SkyDrive.

“Live SDK provides a set of controls and APIs that enable applications to integrate single sign-on (SSO) with Microsoft accounts and access information from SkyDrive, Hotmail, and Windows Live Messenger on Windows Phone and Windows 8,” Microsoft explains.

Microsoft’s Live SDK 5.2 comes with support for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 7.1. It can be downloaded from Softpedia via this link.
