Google Apps Now Bundles ccTLD Options

Google Apps is a great way for businesses to make sure their employees are always connected and able to use the internal IT infrastructure. But since all of this happens in the cloud, those businesses need a valid domain name to point to all of the Google Apps, Gmail, Docs, Calendar and so on.

This is not a problem for most businesses, but it is a problem for some, especially smaller ones. In an effort to make it easier to sign up to Google Apps and lighten the load for admins, Google now offers the option of signing up for a number of country code top-level domain (ccTLD) along with the standard TLD options, such as .com.

Google has partnered with domaindiscount24.com for this and, as a result, now offers 30 TLDs to choose from. 22 of those are ccTLDs. For now, Europe seems to have the best selection. In Asia, you only get options for India, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan, for example.
