Google and Oracle Reveal Bloggers and Journalists on Their Payroll

A few weeks ago, the Oracle vs. Google lawsuit took an interesting turn. The lawsuit had all been over, Google having won pretty much everything. All that was left was the paperwork to be filled. However, seemingly out of nowhere, the judge presiding the case ordered both Google and Oracle to present a list of any blogger, journalist, expert and so on that they were paying and that might have written about the case.

A very peculiar request and one that had the potential to uncover some very interesting things. Now that both companies have come up with their answers, the results are actually pretty predictable.

Google said it didn't pay anyone, in any form, to write about the case. Oracle said it paid analyst Florian Muller, but this was already widely known, though neither Oracle nor Muller was too eager to disclose it. Google also presented a long list of people who represented organizations it donated to or had issued grants for.
