Firaxis Explains XCOM: Enemy Unknown Multiplayer Mode

Developer Firaxis and publisher 2K Games have launched a video which explains the recently announced multiplayer mode for their strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The star of the video is Jake Solomon, the leading designer for the strategy game, and he talks about the deathmatch mode, the point system allowing gamers to create their armies, and the way the balance was tested out by the developers.

The Deathmatch mode for XCOM will allow gamers to create a human or an alien squad before the match actually starts as well as getting items and abilities with their 10,000 points before getting into a turn-based battle that will still be completely turn-based but will have a clear time limit to make the experience streamlined.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on October 9 in North America and three days later in Europe.
