Dual-SIM Nokia Asha 305 Officially Introduced in India for 90 USD (75 EUR)

Nokia announced the Asha series of feature phones back in October at the Nokia World 2011 event. This year, the Finnish company expanded its Asha family with additional handsets aimed at emerging markets.

Unveiled back in June, Nokia Asha 305, 306 and 311 has just made its debut in India. We have already reported earlier today that the Asha 311 is now available for purchase for 130 USD (105 EUR) via Nokia Store locations.

Well, it appears that the Asha 305 also hit shelves in India and is now up for grabs for only Rs 5,029 (90 USD or 75 EUR) off contract.

Nokia Asha 305 is the sister device to the Asha 306, though it lacks Wi-Fi connectivity. Still, the Asha 305 offers Easy Swap dual SIM capability, which allows users to switch SIMs without having to turn it off.

Affordability aside, Nokia Asha 305 offers access to around 40 EA games, so those who purchase the handset will be able to download it for free.

Although it’s a cheap phone, the S40 feature-phone is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and packs 10MB of internal memory, 64MB of ROM and 32MB of RAM.

In addition, the Asha 305 sports a subpar 2-megpaixel rear photo snapper with video recording. Obviously, the phone lacks a secondary front-facing camera for video calls, but it does come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Moreover, Nokia has confirmed that the Asha 305 will be shipped with a free 2GB microSD memory card in the sales package.

Even though Nokia’s first full touch feature phones were not among the most popular handsets launched by the Finnish company, the handset maker is trying its hand once again with some of the Asha series phones.

In this regard, the Asha 305 features a 3.0-inch resistive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 400 pixels resolution and 56k colors.
