Best Buy to Offer Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition on August 19

Google has recently come out with its latest version of Android, Jelly Bean. The first devices to be launched with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, Asus Nexus 7 hit shelves a few weeks ago as well.

This puts Google ahead of its competitors, but this doesn't come as a surprise. However, this won't last too long as major smartphone makers such as Samsung, HTC and LG are readying to announce their own Jelly Bean devices.

Until then Samsung will try to grab some of the Nexus 7's market share with a new 7-inch tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition, though we don't think it will be too successful.

The only difference between the original model and this one is the addition of a keyboard dock and an USB peripheral connector, which are bundled in the sales package.

According to Engadget, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition will arrive in the US via Best Buy on August 19. The tablet will be available for purchase for only $249 USD (205 EUR) upfront.
