Two Kindle Fire 2 Coming, an Ad-Supported One Could Go as Low as $149, 119

The deluge of Kindle Fire rumors isn't stopping. This latest one is fairly obvious, Amazon is apparently going to launch an ad-supported version of the Kindle Fire to go alongside the regular one, just like it does with the e-ink Kindles.

It seems that Amazon has two new Kindle Fire tablets, one being only a small update and will be ad-supported while the other will sport significantly better hardware and will replace the existing Kindle Fire at the same price point.

The obvious advantage, of course, is that Amazon will be able to drop the price even lower with the ad-supported Kindle Fire. Just how much lower though, is the obvious question. $149, €119 would be a nice round number, but it seems like a stretch.

Then again, $199, €159  seemed crazy when the Kindle Fire debuted and all other tablets cost double that at least.

And if it's one thing Amazon does well, that is fighting on price. The prices on the e-ink Kindles have dropped with each new generation going below the $100, €80 level with the entry-level, ad-supported one. The first Kindle was $399, €318.
