Nintendo Wii U Arrives in Japan on December 8, Has Official Price
Nintendo has announced that it will launch the new Wii U home console on the Japanese market on December 8 of this year and that two versions of the device will be available to those interested.
Satoru Iwata, who is the president of Nintendo, has detailed a basic Wii U version that will sell for 26,250 Yen, which is about 337 dollars (260 Euro) and comes equipped with 8 GB of flash memory.
The Premium version of the new Nintendo device will cost 31,500 Yen, about 405 dollars (313 Euro) and includes both a 32 GB of flash memory and a Premium subscription for the new Nintendo Network.
The loyalty program will give gamers eShop points for the Wii U for game purchases and will also offer a 10 percent price cut on digital downloads.
The service will not be offered via any other bundle and will not be sold separately.
The package includes the console, an AC adaptor, a GamePad AC adaptor, a GamePad and a HDMI cable.
Nintendo will offer New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land on launch.
