CrossOver Mac 11.2.2 Fixes Compatibility with OS X 10.8.2 and 10.7.5

In releasing OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion and OS X 10.7.5 Lion to the general population, Apple indirectly broke off compatibility with the Wine-based application CrossOver. The developers have since rolled out a patch to address the problem

Released as a compatibility update for OS X 10.7.5 and 10.8.2, CrossOver Mac 11.2.2 fixes “a bug that caused applications doing 3D drawing to fail to launch under CrossOver on Mac OS X 10.8.2 and 10.7.5. Because of this failure, many games, and some other applications, would not run using CrossOver on OS X 10.8.2 and 10.7.5,” CodeWeavers explained.

Customers using any version of OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) are urged to install this update “to ensure that CrossOver continues to function.”

There’s no guarantee that you won’t exhibit other bugs, but according to our tests, the compatibility problem indeed seems to be fixed.
