Those lucky enough to have used the latest iPhone ahead of everybody else are releasing their thoughts on the new and improved Apple iPhone 5. In a nutshell – it’s a winner.
Apple pundit John Gruber is not short for words when it comes to describing the feeling you get when you hold the iPhone 5 for the first time.
The author of Daring Fireball continues.
“When first you hold it — where by you I am presuming you are well-accustomed to the feel and heft of an iPhone 4 or 4S — you will be struck by how lightweight it feels, yet in a premium, not chintzy way. Within a week, it will feel normal, and your old iPhone 4/4S will feel like a brick. Trust me.”
Wall Street Journal’s tech columnist, Walt Mossberg believes, “Apple has taken an already great product and made it better, overall. Consumers who prefer huge screens or certain marginal features have plenty of other choices, but the iPhone 5 is an excellent choice.”
CNET too is touting the device as the “iPhone we’ve always wanted,” adding that “The iPhone 5 completely rebuilds the iPhone on a framework of new features and design, addressing its major previous shortcomings. It’s absolutely the best iPhone to date, and it easily secures its place in the top tier of the smartphone universe.”
To those who were quick to judge based on the photos and videos released by Apple following the September 12 event, these reviews should sound as biased write-ups imposed by the patrons to keep a good relationship with Apple.
We trust that they’re not. Perhaps all the evidence we need is Jony Ive’s iPhone 5 video. It tells pretty much the same story, with an admittedly heftier dose of epithets.
