Terminals Will Complete Halo 4 Story

Frank O’Connor, who is the leading developer on the upcoming Halo 4, has revealed how the new Master Chief adventure will use the familiar terminals of the series in order to give all the player the information they need in order to enjoy the story.

Speaking to VG247, the boss of 343 Industries has stated, “There’s a bunch of ways that we tell the story, and it’s very complete if you haven’t read any of the books or played any of the previous games. Everything you need to know about the characters, backstory and Forerunner civilization is built into the game.”

The story of the Halo series has spawned three core Master Chief powered games and another two that focused on other characters in the same universe and even the most dedicated fans might have trouble with some of the more obscure plot points.

Frank O’Connor added, “Something happens after the mission you played that keeps with our story-telling. I won’t ruin it for you but we also have terminals that go into the very surprising history of the Forerunner relationship with humans, and there’s some stuff that happens in the terminals that will – certainly for the hardcore fans – blow their minds.”

The development team at 343 Industries has also been careful about making the plot of Halo 4 straightforward and easy to grasp for all those who will play the game.

The game will see Master Chief in action once again, alongside his longtime A.I. companion Cortana, fighting against both rogue elements of the Covenant and a new set of Forerunner forces.

The game will also put more focus on environmental exploration and will detail the state of the universe five years after the end of the battle between the UNSC and Covenant.

Halo 4 will be launched exclusively on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on November 6 of this year.
