Kids Find Two-Headed Snake, Keep It as a Pet [Video]

Savanna Logan and brother Preston, from South Carolina, found a two-headed snake 3 weeks ago, during a home renovation, the Daily Mail reports.

Ever since the beast was unearthed, it has been the talk of the small town. Teachers in the biology department at the Ware Shoals High School identified it as a Virginia striatula, a rough earth snake.

The heads are located on each end of the snake's body and the two heads battle over control of the body, the children's mother said.

“One head is bigger and more dominant than the other, but they both seem to control the body,” Tina Stewart explained.

The snake is not poisonous, so the family can safely keep this wonder of nature as a pet.
