Insomniacs Overstrike Now Known as Fuse

Video game developer Insomniac Games has announced that it has renamed Overstrike, its new project, and that it has made a number of changes that are significant enough to now call the game as Fuse.

Ted Price, who is the founder of Insomniac Games, announced Fuse during the keynote at PAX Prime and outside observers quickly noticed that the game was pretty similar to the already-in-development Overstrike.

That title was first shown during E3 2011 and Insomniac has not offered too much information on the same since then.

The development team was probably unsatisfied with the way the game was shaping up and has decided to skip showing it during E3 2012 in order to get more development time and then unveil it again under a different name.

Fuse is a cooperative four-player shooter played from the first person, and a launch date will probably announced on September 11 when a countdown timer on the official site reaches zero.
