Chrome 22.0.1229.26 Lands on Chrome OS Devices

Chrome 23 is already in the dev channel for regular users, but as always Chromebook owners have to wait a little longer. The Chrome OS dev channel is still running Chrome 22, but it should be getting ready to make the switch, maybe as soon as this week, since Chrome 22 is also in the Chrome OS beta channel.

Chromebooks always get updates later than desktop users, but considering the many more ways in which an update can go wrong and the damage a botched one can create, it's for the best.

Chrome 22.0.1229.26, part of Chrome 2723.50.1, is now available for Chromebooks and the Chromebox. The latest update comes with a new Flash version, a minor update to the Pepper favor of the Flash Player.

The build also fixes some WiFi issues, wireless networking should be more stable now. Also fixed is a bug that caused a crash when closing a tab via the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+W in a maximized window. Finally, formatting a USB device from the File Manager now works as intended.
